This Peel webcam enjoys one of the best views on the Isle of Man. In the foreground you have Peel beach and promenade. Peel beach is one of the most popular on the island, perhaps only matched by Port Erin in terms of the number of people who will flock their on a nice summer day!
In the background you have the ever recognisable silhouette of Peel Castle. When high pressure is about during the summer months this webcam highlights why Peel is knows as sunset city, the red sky’s that provide the backdrop for the castle are well worth a view.
I’m afraid that this is as close to a webcam in Castletown that we have at the moment. This webcam is actually situated at Scarlett Point (the scene of many ship wrecks on the Isle of Man) and will either be looking out south towards the Calf of Man or straight out to sea. There are actually 2 webcams together on the Coastguard Tower at Scarlett Point.

Looking out over the Royal Bank of Scotland building and the Centenary Clock (outside of what was Bushy’s) this webcam gives you a view of what will welcome you if you come to the island via the Steam Packet. I think it’s fair to say that Douglas promenade isn’t quite the majestic site it once was!
